Here, Lord Krishna is always there !! This temple is located at "Thiruvarappu " in Kottayam district of Kerala, at least 1500 years old temple. Here Lord Krishna is always hungry.
The temple is closed for only 2 minutes. 11.58 am to 12.00 am. Another peculiarity of this temple is that, the priest is given an ax as well as the key to open the door in the early hours (only 2 minutes off).
People believe that Krishna cannot tolerate hunger and therefore if there is any delay in opening the door with the key, the priest is allowed to open the door with an ax.
People believe that the idol of Lord Krishna in the temple is of tired Krishna after killing Kansa.
Therefore, after Abhishekam ends, Swami's head first dries, Naivedyam is offered to him and then only his body dries up. Naivedya Puja is done 10 times.
Another peculiarity of this temple is that the temple is not closed even at the time of eclipse.
People believe that this Lord Krishna will go hungry.

Bedtime of Lord Krishna is 11.58 am to 12.00 pm daily. Only 2 minutes. No devotee is allowed to go without consuming prasadam. Every day at 11.57 (before closing the temple) the priest shouts loudly Is anyone here.
