Nirkalanka Mahadev: At this place, Bholenath appeared as a Shivling to the Pandavas!

Neetrakkal Mahadev is located in the Arabian Sea, three kilometers off the coast of Koliak in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Here, the waves of the Arabian Sea daily offer water to Shivalingas. People go to visit this temple only by walking on water. For this they have to wait for the tide to come down. Due to the heavy tide only the flag and pillar of the temple is visible. Seeing this, no one could guess that the ancient temple of Mahadev is located in the underwater sea. There are five Swayambhu Shivling of Shiva here.

Lord Shiva gave the Pandavas in the form of Linga:

The history of this temple is associated with the Mahabharata period. In the war of Mahabharata, the Pandas won the battle by killing the Kauravas. But after the war ended, the Pandavas became aware that they had committed the sin of killing their own relatives.] The Pandavas met Lord Shri Krishna to get rid of this sin. To get rid of sin, Shri Krishna handed over a black flag and a black cow to the Pandavas and asked the Pandavas to follow the cow and told them that when the color of both the flag and the cow turns from black to white, you should understand that you are sinful. have got it. At the same time, Shri Krishna also told him that in which place this should happen but all of you should also do austerities to Lord Shiva.

According to the statement of Lord Krishna, the five brothers followed the black cow with a black flag in their hands. In this sequence, they all went to different places for several days but the color of the cow and flag did not change. But when he reached the Koliak coast in present-day Gujarat, the color of cow and flag became white. The five Pandava brothers were very happy with this and started meditating on Lord Shiva there.

Lord Bhole Nath, happy with his penance, gave different visions to the five Muslims in gender form. The five Shivalingas are still located there. Nandi's statue is also in front of the five Shivling. The five Shivalingas are built on a square platform and are located 3 km east of Koliak beach and in the Arabian Sea. There is also a small water pond on this platform, which is called Pandavabh. The devotees first wash their hands and feet in it and then offer prayers to the Shivalingas.

Bhadravi fair fills Amavas of Bhado month:

Since Pandas came here and got rid of the stigma of killing their villagers and their relatives, it is called the fair fair. A fair is organized here on the Amavas of Bhado month which is called Bhadravi.

There is a special crowd of devotees in this temple on every Amavas. Even though the tide remains more active on the full moon and Amavas, devotees wait for it to descend and then see Lord Shiva.

People believe that if someone burns the pyre of a loved one, then put it on the Shivling and flow it in the water, then he gets salvation. Jala, milk, curd and coconut are offered to Lord Shiva in the temple.

The annual major fair 'Bhadravi' begins with the flagging of the temple by the descendants of the Maharaja of Bhavnagar and then the flag is flown on the temple for the next one year and it is a wonder that there is only one flag in the year for. Despite this, there is no harm to this flag. Not even in the devastating crisis of 2001 when 50,000 people died here.
